Welcome to our Lodge. We are a study circle/temple of the Primitive Rite of Memphis & Misraim subcharted and organized under
the auspices of Tau Sir Hasirim, Bishop and Prince in the Gnosis and Master of the Lodge of the Sons & Daughters of Aaron.

Our Lodge exists to fulfill several goals:

1. Research and attempt to provide a framework and practice wherein all members begin to take their own initiative and accomplish their own Work as they Will.
2. We most solemnly recognize Aleister Crowley to be the prophet of Thelema. However, it is felt that to merely mimic Crowley and tie one’s self to his teachings is to stagnate. Recognizing Thelema to be a vibrant and evolving current, we will encourage all to break out of any self imposed definitions of "Thelema" and "the Work" and instead to forge their own paths as individual stars, not relying on any one source of inspiration, but instead searching within for the true light and inspiration they already possess so that they may recognize knowledge and inspiration when they see it in the world around them.
3. Furthermore, we realize the stigma surrounding Aleister Crowley in the world at large and, instead of attempting to present Crowley to the world, we will strive to show Thelema to the world. This will require each and every member of the Lodge to innovate and create. We will not attempt to reinvent the wheel in places where Crowley has done an admirable job, however we will recognize the difference between guidance and dogma. Every man and every woman is a star.

To accomplish these goals, PTL Lodge recognizes it will take effort, diligence, and knowledge. With that in mind, we will strive to study and work in our individual capacities so that together, all our efforts shall combine to benefit the whole.

With this in mind, this website is an extension of Post Tenebras Lux Lodge No. 22. It exists to provide information and guidance to those seekers of truth that are in search of information. In addition to this website, the lodge exists in a physical location as well. The lodge exists as a place of fraternity, but also provides ritual space for those members that wish to do group ritual. We encourage our members to learn the tried and true Thelemic rituals, but once they have, to devise their own rituals that speak to their inner selves and speak of their creative abilities.

Tying yourself to the past only encourages stagnation. The Thelema practiced by Post Tenebras Lux Lodge and, indeed, by the Sons and Daughters of Aaron Lodge that charted it is dynamic and vibrant. We are Thelema today. It is up to us to help Thelema grow and develop into the current of tomorrow. Let us push consciousness to the bounds and find God at the edges.

Those interested in membership should contact me using the contact button above. In addition, this lodge does not and will not have a “dues” system. You should not have to pay for that which you don’t use. So, you are encouraged to chip and and help pay for only those events you attend and the costs that are incurred for that event. These costs may be such as candles, incense, and other ritual items. They may also be things like photocopies, etc. No fees will be charged and you will not be asked to pay your share. However, if you ask, you will be told the REAL cost of the items acquired and not some inflated cost. Then, you can decide how much is your share and leave a donation. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you can just leave a small donation. If you cannot afford a donation, don’t worry. No one will ask you for money nor look down on you for not donating. This is not a money-making venture. It is a lodge dedicated to furthering Thelema in the modern age. The law is for all.
